DENVER (KDVR) -- Smoke from wildfires in Canada was the likely cause of a hazy sunrise in parts of the Front Range Wednesday morning, including near the Red Rocks Amphitheatre.A video taken near the amphitheater shows the sunrise, with the sun visible but obscured through the haze.According to AirNow, air quality in the Denver metro seems to have been largely not impacted, with "good" to "moderate" levels being recorded in most places throughout the last 24 hours. What will the weather be like for the Denver Nuggets parade? However in Conifer, near Red Rocks, the air quality ranged from "unhealthy" to "good" at various parts of the day. According to the Pinpoint Weather team, smoke from the fires should not impact the Front Range over the next few days, and impacts will primarily be seen northeast of the state.Parts of the US continue to see impacts from the smokeIn mid-to-late May, smoke from the fires spread to Denver and caused air quality in the metro to become among the worst...Kirby strikes out 10, Mariners beat Marlins 9-3

SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle starter George Kirby set a career high with 10 strikeouts and the Mariners’ offense broke out for the second straight game in a 9-3 victory over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night.Kirby (6-5) was untouchable early on, retiring the first 13 hitters of the game. He wound up allowing three hits and one unearned run over six innings with no walks.Yuli Gurriel hit a single in the top of the fifth inning for Miami’s first hit, but Kirby recovered by striking out Jean Segura and Jon Berti to escape the inning without damage.Kirby tends to live around the strike zone with his pitches, but was able to coax Marlins hitters to chase pitches throughout the game. The Marlins swung at 48 percent of Kirby’s pitches off the plate, and 58 percent of his fastballs out of the zone.“I was able to expand the slider a little bit today,” Kirby said. “But yeah, if I’m living in the zone, they’ve got to protect anything on the outer half. The court paperwork identified Cedric Lodge, 55, as the manager of the medical school’s morgue and detailed how, between 2018 and 2022, he and three other defendants, including his wife, Denise Lodge, 63, worked to move, sell or purchase organs, skin and other parts from bodies that were donated for educational purposes. The Mets have backed themselves into a corner with Daniel Vogelbach. The team hasn’t used Vogelbach for the last week, having benched the designated hitter for the last five games. The situation with Vogelbach is particularly strange. The Mets are choosing to play a man down each night without their left-handed hitting designated hitter despite opportunities to use him, especially in late-game situations. It’s strange to carry a player without using him at all, but Vogelbach isn’t injured and the team didn’t want to find an injury for him, so he continues to work on finding his stride again with the team.“I’ve been working on stuff that can hopefully lead to me getting the ball in the air like I like to get the ball in the air,” Vogelbach said Wednesday before the Mets hosted the Yankees in the second Subway Series game of the year. “Just being able to get in the cage and really dial into stuff that I can really go after and not have to ...Div. 3 girls lacrosse: Norwell edges Medfield in 10-9 classic
